Brockham Badgers ‘B’ 2 – 4 Albury Eagles
This week we were away to Brockham. We had no goalkeeper so Oliver Harris went in goal for the first half. Albury started with lots of possession but could not capitalise and Brockham broke and took the lead. Albury drew level before half time at which point Henry Scheon went in goal. After the restart we took the lead, but this time Brockham equalised and Henry kept us in the game with 2 great saves. We added a third with Harry dribbling past 5 or 6 players in the penalty box and calmly slotting the ball away, at last we were controlling the game and Oliver Saxby chipped the ball into the top corner to seal a 4 – 2 victory.

Albury Eagles 11 – 0 Dorkinians Saints Pumas Albury Eagles under 12s first match after a three week break brought Dorking Saints Pumas to the Heath. Albury were quick to open the scoring through David Hearns after only two minutes and were unlucky to come off the field at half time only three goals to the good with great efforts by Nathnael Farrant and Tom Cantoni and a fantastic display by the Dorking keeper! The second half saw the Eagles step up a gear and back to the recent form they have been showing. Great skills and passing by Christopher Brooks, Harvey Marshall and George Stevens ended with Christopher Brooks and Nathanael Farrant finishing the game with a hat-trick each and Tom Cantoni and Harvey Marshall netting a brace. Although rarely troubled at the back, defender Alex Dangerfied thoroughly deserved his MOM award not only for his solid defending , but for his movement in attack. Another superb all round performance from the whole of the Eagles under 12s team.

Matchday Refreshments
Visits to other clubs are often complemented by the provision of matchday snacks and drinks – bacon butties, cups of coffee etc.
Eagles are beginning to offer this as a service, obviously on a voluntary basis from parents keen to get involved. If you are willing to help on this front, please get in touch with the Club Secretary.
It will also raise some useful cash for the club coffers.
Many thanks.
Reporting
A plea from the Club Secretary - I need scores, scorers and reports in by Monday morning to make this newsletter effective. Holding on for several days until there is enough material denies us all the chance for a weekly newsletter providing all the match info from the previous Saturday.
Appoint a reporting rep for each age group or team would be a great idea if we could manage it, all I need is a couple of lines sent by email.
Thanks, Tony.
Girls Football
Whilst we intended to begin a girls side this season, there is still insufficient demand to make this happen.
Enquiries, in the first instance please, to Club Secretary.
