Last Saturday’s top of the table u8 clash saw the Eagles playing Brockham Blacks, both teams unbeaten with 4 wins apiece. Eagles started very well and were soon 3-0 up thru Llewys Bond ,Tom Cantoni ,and George Blackbee. After half time Brockham came back strongly and scored two goals one of which was a deflection off an Eagles player. Eagles then raised their game with Freddie Wall nearly scoring and Tom Cantoni hitting the bar with a fantastic (Beckham) free kick. Lewys Bond also went close shaving the post. Colby Silver and George Stevens had good games in defence. All Eagles players had fine games with the whole squad playing at some stage. Man of the match - Tom Cantoni for his tireless running and his free kick. JD
U8s Griffins are also well placed in the league, with some fine performances under their belts.

Four wins on the trot now for the u11s, with 20 goals scored in the process. The squad is not huge, yet many players are now finding some ideal field positions, with the team playing extremely well as a unit.
Particularly good performances from bustling striker Jack Clifford, and defenders Will Westcott, Ross Beasley and Hugh Graves.

There were useful away victories at Onslow FC for the u9 and u10 sides on 17th Jan, as they consolidated their league positions, although the u10s crashed badly at home to Priory 1-3 at the weekend. Coach Caley decided not to award any gongs this week.

The Heath is becoming quite a busy place on Saturday mornings. Three games kicked off together at around 10am this weekend, whilst on 17th Jan, there were six games on, home and away, involving Albury sides.

The U9s squad is now ready to form two sides. Sixteen players are rather too many for effective subbing!
We shall run Eagles (league games) and Griffins (friendlies) with all players being rotated through both sides. By September, there should be two league sides at this level.
Further kit is now on order.

Have a look at the website.
I try to get it updated every Monday, with the latest results and scorers.
Reminder to managers - I need your match reports in as soon as you can after games, please!
